Filipino rock band, Sugarfree was formed in 1999 and gained popularity through their songs “Tulog Na”, “Makita Kang Muli”, and “Hari Ng Sablay” to name a few. The band is composed of Ebe Dancel (vocals and guitars), Jal Taguibao (bass guitar), and Kaka Quisimbing (drums). But after 12 years of making music together, the group decided to disband in 2011.
Fast forward to 2019, the group’s former lead singer Ebe Dancel, who spent years doing solo performances, made an announcement yesterday on Twitter—which obviously thrilled fans who have been wishing to see the band perform again on stage.
In his Twitter post, Dancel expressed his gratitude to Sugarfree on its 20th anniversary. He also acknowledged the band’s major contribution to the music industry and of course, to his career.
Fans immediately assumed that Sugarfree will have a reunion concert. That’s why many of them couldn’t help but request some of the band’s throwback songs.
And just a few hours ago, OPM artist finally confirmed the fans’ speculations. On his Instagram account, he announced that they will have a reunion concert on October 15.
