Fans of the Peanuts franchise know that Snoopy sometimes adopts different personas in the comics. In a 1969 comic strip, for instance, the lovable canine appeared to Charlie Brown’s friend as the “Head Beagle,” ruler of dogs. And in one of the more popular alter egos of Snoopy, the “Flying Ace,” he is featured as a pilot on a mission to defeat the evil Red Baron.
During the Easter season, Snoopy assumes yet another role–the “Easter Beagle.”
First introduced to readers on April 14, 1968, the Easter Beagle rewards children with colorful eggs during the holiday season. But unlike the iconic Easter Bunny, the Easter Beagle makes himself seen by the children and even, displays some comedic antics as he distributes the treats.
