UST Hiraya, the pioneer Intersectional Feminist organization in the Royal and Pontifical University of Santo Tomas recognized by UST Office for Student Affairs (OSA), will be celebrating International Women’s Day on May 12, 2018 at the University’s Parade Grounds, Beato Angelico side.
The celebration is entitled “Stand With Us: International Women’s Day Celebration” where the organization’s Safe Streets campaign will be launched. Students will experience the performance of several local bands and spoken word artists.
Through Stand With Us, UST Hiraya will invite local government and barangay officials to publicly express their commitment to providing safer streets within the outskirts of the university for Thomasians.
It is in partnership with the following student councils and organizations: The Faculty of Engineering Student Council, the College of Fine Arts and Design Student Council, the Faculty of Pharmacy Student Council, the AMV College of Accountancy Student Council, TOMCAT UST, Musikat, Becarios de Santo Tomas, Fotomasino, UNESCO UST, the Thomasian Film Society, the UST Pax Romana, Annyeong Tomasino, CFC-YFC, Scarlet UST, the UST Filipino Martial Arts, the UST Asian Studies Society, the UST Literature Society, and the UST Legal Management Society.
