John Lloyd Cruz gives 2017 the middle finger, says the wretched year didn’t break him

It’s a known fact that 2017 brought its very own series of challenges. From the heinous mistreatment of show dogs to the insensitivity against mental health, this past year has shown us that no one was immune to the pitfalls of 2017. Even celebrities like John Lloyd Cruz were excited to kiss the past year goodbye.

In a post Cruz shared on Instagram, he captions a fireworks display video with “fuck you 2017 you didn’t break me. Salamat. 🙏🏼”

It’s quite understandable that Cruz might feel this way, as he was the focus of a string of rumors and controversies this past year. One of which included that he and girlfriend Ellen Adarna are currently expecting their first child — a rumor the couple has yet to confirm or deny with the media.

This 2018, Cruz has taken a break from showbiz and even let go of his role in the upcoming series, “Home Sweetie Home.”

We sincerely hope New Year favors the actor better and we wish him all the luck as this 2018 plays out!
