MANILA, Philippines – It was an exciting race to the finish line as the Toyota Vios Cup, in partnership with Total, came to a close on November 25-25, 2017, at the Clark International Speedway, with the fourth and final race of the season.
Model-Actor Fabio Ide made a photo finish, besting fellow celebrity drivers Dominique Roque, Ella Cruz, Gretchen Ho, Jake Cuenca, Troy Montero and Aubrey Miles. He won
Rounds 1 and 2 in the Celebrity Class Category, and for his impressive performance, Ide was recognized with the “TOTAL Excellium High Performance Racer Award,” along with fellow celebrity guest driver, Aubrey Miles.
In the TOTAL Excellium Super Sporting Class Category, Daniel Miranda was named “Overall Champion,” with Gerard Loy, Allan Uy, Keith Haw and Mon Tanjuatco taking their places as Overall 2nd Place to Overall 5th Place, respectively.
Daniel Miranda, for his amazing win in the fourth leg, will continue on competing in the international circuit, representing the Philippines with the Toyota Gazoo Racing Team Asia. He – along with Team Obengers, comprised of Marco Soong, JV Ejercito, Paulo Agregado, Robert Lilles, Keith Bryan Haw and Raymond Ronquillo – will be joining the Super Endurance 600 race in the Chang International Circuit later this year.
For the entire duration of the Vios Cup, Total delivered on its promise to bring to life the true spirit of Waku-Doki (“heart racing fun” in Japanese).
