Our beloved fairy is getting her own live-action series!
Disney+ is reportedly in the works for ‘Tink,’ a drama series centered on the iconic fairy Tinker Bell, expanding the world of Peter Pan for streaming audiences.
Friday Night Lights duo Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter are set to write and produce the series. They are joined by former Disney Branded Television head Gary Marsh and Quinn Haberman of Heldens’ Selfish Mermaid company.

Tinker Bell is known to be the loyal companion of Peter Pan. She is created by James M. Barrie in his original 1904 children’s story. Eventually, she was designed and animated by Marc Davis for Disney’s 1953 masterpiece ‘Peter Pan.’
Even though she is not the main character, Tinker Bell has appeared in multiple animated movies and caught the hearts of many. New Disney fans sometimes mistakenly assume she is Peter Pan’s partner, when in fact she is simply his loyal and trusted friend.
A live-action feature with the same name was reportedly in development in 2015, with Reese Witherspoon attached as the lead. However, the project was retooled in 2021 after Marsh, then President and Chief Creative Officer of Disney Branded Television, stepped down to launch his own Disney-backed production banner.
In 2023, a live-action film ‘Peter & Wendy’ was produced. American actress Yara Shahidi played as Tinker Bell, making her the first Black actress to play as the fairy.
Determined to pursue a long-standing goal on his to-do list, Marsh pushed for the creation of the live-action series.
Casts
The casting details have yet to be announced, but some fans have already begun suggesting and hoping for their favorite artists to portray their beloved childhood fairy.

While some fans are excited about the upcoming series, others are not fond of the idea of a live-action adaptation of Tinker Bell. They argue that the fairy should remain animated and have instead suggested creating another film.
Other details about ‘Tink,’ such as the release date, is yet to be confirmed.
