After long years of waiting, Filipino V.I.Ps can finally say that 2025 is their year!
TAEYANG, a member of K-pop group BIGBANG and hailed as the Dancing King of K-pop last visited Manila in 2017 for his first solo concert “White Night World Tour” in Araneta Coliseum.
Eight years have passed, he is finally back in the country for his long-awaited concert: THE LIGHTYEAR happened in SM Mall of Asia Arena last February 22, 2025. The said concert kicked off last August 31, 2024 in Seoul and marked the Philippines as the last stop of the tour– as they say, save the best for last!
Even after nearly two decades on the scene, TAEYANG still didn’t fail his fans, he still proved that he is one of the incredible performers and one of the aces in the world of K-pop when he finally opened his concert with his singles ‘Prayer’ and ’I’ll Be There’.
Fans went wild when TAEYANG also performed his famous and hit songs ‘Wedding Dress’, ‘I Need a Girl’, ‘Ringa Linga’, and some of his recent songs which features members from BTS and Blackpink: ‘VIBE’ featuring Jimin of BTS and ‘Shoong’ featuring Lisa of Blackpink.
Aside from his solo singles from the past up to present, he also performed a medley of BIGBANG’s hit singles ‘Blue’, ‘IF YOU’, ‘LOSER’, ‘We Like 2 Party’ during the concert. Filo V.I.Ps started shouting and partying like never before when TAEYANG also included BANG BANG BANG, and Fantastic Baby in his setlist which gave a lot of fans a trip to memory lane.
Fans were shocked when TAEYANG suddenly prepared a Filipino song to sing in front of his loving Filo V.I.Ps, and that song is no other than TJ Monterde’s ‘Palagi’. With TAEYANG’s sweet voice surrounding the arena, most of the fans were left in awe and shouted ‘Isa pa! Isa pa!’ that led TAEYANG to sing the beautiful song one more time.

During his ment, TAEYANG is currently thanking his fans for giving their time to come to his show and expressing his love to them, while all of a sudden, his Filo V.I.Ps requested something special for their idol, and that is the viral and famous ‘Yeorobun~’

TAEYANG ended the show full of emotions with the song ‘Eyes, Nose, Lips’ while all of the fans sang with him from the start until the end of the song.
Truly, it was the night made for the Filo V.I.Ps out there who didn’t stop waiting for their one and only favorite idol to come back, hoping with BIGBANG soon? *cross fingers*.
TAEYANG really lighted his Filipino fans’ whole year because of this one sweet and memorable treat.
