Actress Barbie Forteza has announced today that she and longtime boyfriend Jak Roberto have officially broken up.
Forteza took to Instagram to confirm that they had ended their seven-year relationship.
Her post began by quoting Dr. Seuss: “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”
The actress then went on to pen a farewell message for Jak, thanking him for the years they shared together.
“Having you in my life was the happiest I had ever been. Seven wonderful years. A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen and so much love. Your love was exceptional. But sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can come together,” as stated in her message.
The actress added, “Beautiful goodbye, Jak.”
She proceeded to thank him for loving her the way he did and asked him to take care of himself as well as wishing he could find the love that he deserved.
”I hope for everyone’s understanding and I wish you can help us put this matter to rest,” she ended her post.
The actress, however, did not reveal the cause of their split.
With the news of their breakup, social media users took to social media to share their thoughts about the recent news.
One user wrote, “First entry this year ang break up ni barbie and jak! [The first entry this year is the breakup of Barbie and Jak!]”
Another user wrote, “WDYM BREAK NA SILA BARBIE AND JAK ??? 2025 sumosobra ka na [WDYM BARBIE AND JAK BROKE UP??? 2025 you’re too much].”
”Break na c barbie and jak. Pano na ko mag e-enroll sa anti-selos class nyan [Barbie and Jak have broken up. How can I enroll in the anti-jealous class now],” a third user wrote.

As of this writing, Roberto has not yet released a statement regarding their split.
Forteza and Roberto, also being dubbed as JakBie, worked together on projects including “Kara Mia” and “Meant to Be.” Although they are focusing on their respective careers, the former couple managed to maintain their relationship.
