Have you ever dreamed of something magical? Something like casting your spell or being entitled to your own wand? Battling against the dark lord and protecting the wizarding world? If yes, undeniably you’re a Potterhead. And probably part of your #goals is to enter the fantastic Harry Potter universe.
Chill but no chill! Regardless if you’re a pure-blooded wizard or a No-maj (muggle) or for instance your Hogwarts acceptance letter never arrived you can still complete your lifelong magical dream!
Recently, Warner Bros., the studio behind all the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them movies announced their open-casting call for teenagers to play the five new roles in the movie. The look for the incarnations of new characters are for ages of 13 and 16 to play young versions of Newt Scamander, Leta Lestrange and another character called Sebastian. They are also after the actors whose between 16 and 18, can portray both Gellert Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore as teenagers.
As per the details given on the official fansite of all these magicry, the Pottermore:
The closing date for applications is Tuesday, 20 June 2017 at midnight GMT. If there is interest in pursuing an application further, the applicant will hear back within 14 days of their original submission. While every applicant will be considered, only those passing the initial consideration round will be contacted.
This casting chance might be as swift as a Billywig, so aspiring wizards, hide your Mooncalf-like identities please. The filming of the sequel is set to begin this summer and expectedly will give us all a winx on it’s planned release on 16 November 2018.
