Revelations involving famous mukbanger Tzuyang spark outrage among viewers and social media users

Tzuyang, a mukbang YouTuber, was recently exposed to have been the victim of extortion about her past by other YouTubers. The said YouTubers allegedly demanded money from her in exchange for them not disclosing her personal life.

On July 11, an online post titled “The Reason Why Tzuyang’s Incident Came To Light” made rounds around various social media platforms.

In the post, alleged phone conversations involving Gujaeyeok, Caracula, and Jeon Guk Jin were made public by controversial YouTuber Garosae Yeonguso’s (가로세로연구소) Kim Sae.

It’s important to note that Kim Sae of Garosae is a known right-wing commentator who is presently vying for office.

The channel also had a significant stake in the deceased journalist Kim Yong Ho, who committed himself after being subjected to a litany of shady accusations.

The alleged phone call showcased Gujaeyeok and Jeon Guk Jin talking about Tzuyang’s previous life as an adult hostess and how they plotted to extort her. The YouTubers then went on to discuss Tzuyang’s past in further detail.

People responded on social media with their feelings about the phone conversation and the disclosure of Tzuyang’s background. Many thought Kim Sae was insensitive to have revealed Tzuyang’s history against the latter’s desires, taking advantage of it.

Early in July 11, 2024, at two in the morning, Tzuyang started a live feed following the public release of the accusations. During the live broadcast, she described how she first got to know her former partner before starting her career as a streamer.

According to her in-depth story on her YouTube channel, the mukbang vlogger’s abusive ex-boyfriend pushed her to work for money, which is why she started streaming. Although Tzuyang has only been streaming for five years, for four of those years, she endured physical abuse at the hands of him in addition to threats over a private video he had taken without permission.

Tzuyang, however, ended the live broadcast by asserting that her staff had taken care of the threats made by the other YouTubers and that she was unaware of them.

Following this, Tzuyang just recently filed a case against him, which allowed her to eventually find freedom. However, it was eventually disclosed through a statement from her attorney that her ex-boyfriend had taken his own life, and the case had ended without a verdict.

English translation:

“Hello, this is Lawyer Kim Taeyeon. I’m leaving a comment as there were some parts during the livestream that were not accurately conveyed through proper legal terms. Just as we have mentioned, Tzuyang faced lots of damage, and hence, with my help, she requested financial payouts, the termination of her exclusive contract, copyrights, and more. We filed a lawsuit on the accounts of habitual assault, habitual threatening, force, and abuse, as well as sexual violence, and more.

But her ex-CEO (ex-boyfriend) came to our firm to desperately ask for compromise and promised not to mention anything [to anyone]. However, he violated this promise, and Tzuyang was left with no choice but to press charges a second time. Just as mentioned during the live stream, as many charges stood true, it was predicted that he would face five years in jail.

But unfortunately, he made extreme choices, and the case closed under ‘no power to prosecute’ and was canceled. We hope that there will not be any misunderstandings or guesswork made about the relevant through this case, and we also hope that the related family members are not secondarily harmed through this matter.”

To date, many social media users are still curious about what will happen next: whether or not Tzuyang will receive the justice she deserves.
