Singer-songwriter and theater actor Bullet Dumas is set to make a grand return to the concert stage after a five-year hiatus with his much-anticipated solo performance, “Nananatili.”
Scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 7 PM at the Music Museum, this event promises to deliver an intimate evening filled with reflections on love, loss, and acceptance through Dumas’ unique blend of folk and experimental music. This concert is a significant milestone for Dumas, marking his first solo performance since 2018’s “Usisa” and his debut venture into concert co-production. Teaming up with GNN (Gabi Na Naman Productions), Dumas aims to bring a deeply personal vision to life.
During the press conference last Friday, Dumas shared that the concept behind “Nananatili” is deeply evocative, inspired by the final day of a funeral.
Also, Dumas consistently emphasized how his background as a theater actor has significantly impacted his musical performances. The skills he acquired on stage, such as timing, emotional depth, and audience connection, are seamlessly integrated into his music, enriching the storytelling elements of his concerts.
Expressing his passion for acting, Dumas stated, “I want to keep acting because I believe there’s still so much to learn and gain wisdom from through acting, and I got to visit sides of my mind and heart.” Additionally, the songwriter is enthusiastic about working with others in the industry, saying, “I want to keep collaborating with other artists,” highlighting his desire to explore new creative dimensions and expand his artistic horizons.
The “Nananatili” concert guarantees an unforgettable evening, blending Dumas’ soulful melodies with his compelling storytelling. Thus, he reassured his fans that this concert is not to be missed, aiming to prove himself to everyone who believed in him.
