B.I gets up close and personal with Filipino IDs during his fan meet in Manila

Multi-talented South Korean artist B.I returned to Manila once again for a fan meet at the Mall of Asia Arena last March 4, 2024.

The night kicked off with the K-pop star serenading his fans with his 2023 single “Loved,” captivating the audience with his vocals.

While his fans, fondly known as ID, most probably know everything about him, they got to know him a little better during a brief question-and-answer session with the show host, Filipino actress Denise Laurel.

When asked what Filipino food he liked or missed the most, B.I said he thoroughly enjoyed eating “bagoong” and said it was better than “beef steak,” leaving everyone in the venue amazed.

The “Dare to Love” singer also opened up about his choice of style nowadays, saying he enjoys dressing for comfort now rather than the hip-street wear he used to gravitate towards before. This then led him to describe his collection with unisex streetwear brand Privé Alliance to be “comfort,” which is comprised of T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and a cap.

B.I then treated his fans with a surprise as he revealed he would go on tour this year and assured them he would “definitely be here too.” He then said that with the new year, he wants to visit a country he hasn’t been to yet, regardless if it’s for his tour or for vacation.

As the Q&A portion came to a close, B.I said if there’s one song he would dedicate for his Filo IDs, it would be “MICHAELANGELO” from his album “TO DIE FOR,” which he gave a brief sample.

The show then proceeded with the South Korean star performing “BTBT.” During a brief break, Laurel said she’d give away the grey hoodie from B.I’s Privé Alliance collection so long as they dance to the 2022 mega-hit song. Two fans were brave enough to take on the challenge with the last fan even performing the choreography with B.I onstage.

As the night progressed, B.I once again showed his love for his fans as he personally signed six clothing pieces from his Privé Alliance collection and personally handed them to lucky fans. Two of those he personally picked from the audience.

He also proved once again that he’s the “fan service” king as he went off script and roamed the floor section of the Mall of Asia Arena to interact with his Filo IDs.

In return, Filo IDs prepared a special fan video project for him, where they gave reasons as to why “Hanbin is love.” The video was also accompanied by fans in the venue holding up blue roses. He then thanked his fans for the surprise and said he felt touched watching it which made him almost cry.

To close off his fan meet, B.I performed his 2021 song “COSMOS,” and for the last time, signed and gave away the shirt he was wearing during the fan meet to a lucky audience member.
