Doyoung confirmed to be the next member of NCT to debut solo

On February 19, 2024, SM Entertainment confirmed the news that NCT’s Doyoung is preparing to debut as a solo artist. He is the 3rd member of NCT to debut as a solo artist, following members Taeyong and Ten.

The date for Doyoung’s solo debut has not been revealed yet, but it is slated for the first half of 2024.

Doyoung is a K-Pop idol from under SM Entertainment. He debuted as a member of the rotational sub-unit NCT U in April 2016 with the song “The 7th Sense” and debuted as a member of the permanent sub-unit NCT 127 in January 2017. In April 2023, he along with fellow NCT members Jaehyun and Jungwoo debuted as the fixed unit NCT DoJaeJeung with the EP, “Perfume.”

He is also an actor, having starred in the web series “Dear X Who Doesn’t Love Me” in 2022 and “Midnight Café – The Curious Stalker” in 2021, and in the musical “Marie Antoinette” as Count Axel von Fersen in 2021.

Doyoung has released music in the past– having collaborated with numerous artists such as Sejeong, Rocoberry, EXO’s Baekhyun, and Kim Min-ha, and appeared in numerous soundtracks for different K-Dramas, including “Yumi’s Cells” and “Dear X Who Doesn’t Love Me.”

Doyoung is also currently the global ambassador for Italian luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, having began their partnership in 2023.

NCTzens were ecstatic at the news, and immediately expressed their support for Doyoung on social media.

NCTzens will definitely be seated for this one.
