Beyoncé makes history: First black woman to top Billboard’s country chart

Beyoncé did more than simply make waves; she carved her name into the bedrock of music history, topping Billboard’s country music chart.

Her single “Texas Hold ‘Em,” released alongside “16 Carriages” on February 11, captivated audiences with its unique combination of country sounds and Beyoncé’s undeniable talent.

Fans eagerly awaited Beyoncé’s upcoming album, “act ii,” slated to be released on March 29 following her acclaimed 2022 album “Renaissance” or “Act I: Renaissance.”

The excitement was heightened by the Grammy winner’s appearance in a Verizon commercial during the Super Bowl, hinting at what was to come in her new music.

The superstar singer’s success on the country charts also made her the first woman to do so since Billboard’s country and R&B/Hip-Hop charts began in 1958, joining a limited group of artists who have mastered both genres, like Justin Bieber, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Ray Charles.

With each milestone, Beyoncé continued to inspire, proving that her influence in the music industry was far-reaching.
