What a way to spend the holiday season by rewatching (or probably watching it for the first time) the iconic Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie with its phenomenal and memorable hip-hop film score with a live concert accompaniment.
Fans and enthusiasts enjoyed the much-awaited ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse Live In Concert’ last December 30, 2023, at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier.
Wilbros Live previously announced that they are bringing the concert to the Philippines, running two shows separately at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The event showcased the music of the award-winning composer and songwriter Daniel Pemberton, who is behind the scores of ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ and ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ and among many other notable music from different films like ‘Ocean 8’ and ‘Enola Holmes.’
Aside from the film score by Daniel Pemberton, the movie also featured singles like ‘Sunflower’ by Post Malone and Swae Lee and ‘What’s Up Danger’ by Blackway and Back Caviar.
The event featured a live orchestra, electronics, and turntables that heightened the watch experience the audience could feel throughout the film.
Fans could not contain their excitement for the concert and expressed their happiness as they waited. Some fans also cosplayed Gwen in the said film.
As the film started with the live orchestra, they added more anticipation and intensity throughout the movie that fans squeal with joy. They could not hide their delight as the more intense and heavy the scenes, the more upbringing it takes because of the instrumental background.
The orchestra highlights the music making everyone edge on their seats as an extreme segment takes place. In addition, the more melancholy the scene is, emotions pour out due to the dramatic tunes of the violin adding depth to the atmosphere.
An intermission took place for the audience to have a bathroom break and stretch out after the first half of the film was shown.
Samsung Hall also had a backdrop, giving way for the fans and guests to have a memento of the highly anticipated event before and after watching.
A staff also cosplayed Miles Morales, a.k.a Spider-Man, who entertained some audience before and after the concert, earning smiles and laughter from the fans.
Fans erupted in applause as the concert played their last piece, overjoyed for the wild and superb experience of watching their favorite film with a live music performance. The whole team took their bow and thanked everyone for appreciating and attending the show.
‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Vers’ was a hit to be seen by all. The event’s highlight was the blast of music and experience worth remembering as a way to end the year.
