The Corrs gives Filipino fans a nostalgic journey back to the ’90s during comeback PH concert

Say it’s true, there’s nothing like ‘The Corrs’ concert!

After 22 years, The Corrs finally returned to Manila stage and treated fans with a 2-night show, on October 21 and 22, 2023 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The band, consisting of Andrea, Jim, Caroline, and Sharon Corr,  kicked off their first show with the 1997 hit single, “Only When I Sleep.” The opening performance seemed like a time machine to the late ’90s, filling the venue with oozing ‘nostalgic feels.’

As the night continued, The Corrs kept the hits coming, serenading the audience with classics like “Give Me a Reason” and “Summer Sunshine.”

What really touched the audience was Andrea Corr’s heartfelt greeting in Filipino: “Magandang gabi, masaya kaming makabalik dito [Good evening, we’re happy to be back here].”

Andrea continued, expressing the band’s deep appreciation for the warm welcome they received after over two decades. “It’s been quite a while, over 20 years? We really wanted to come back from that last gig because the welcome you gave us was unforgettable. So it finally happened,” she said.

The Corrs’ performance was a delightful mix of their timeless classics such as “Don’t Say You Love Me,” “Radio,” “What Can I Do?,” “Little Lies,” “Queen of Hollywood,” “So Young,” and “I Never Loved You Anyway.”
