For the love of pets, Robinsons Galleria holds ‘When Kindness Matters’

Being compassionate is human nature. People have a responsibility to treat one another and all creatures that share the planet with kindness and respect. This is why every 4th of October marks World Animal Day to remind everyone to have the responsibility to care for and respect animals.

To mark World Animal Day, Robinsons Malls Happy Pets Club will be holding an event called “When Kindness Matters” on October. 2, 2023 at 10AM at the Digiworld area of Robinsons Galleria in EDSA Ortigas. Free vet checkups, and other pet services like vaccination, and spay and neuter or “kapon” await the furparents for their well-loved pet babies. These services are open to Quezon City residents.

It’s always a fun day full of learning, freebies and rewards at Robinsons Malls Happy Pets Club’s pet events.

“If you are passionate about animal welfare, this whole-day event at Robinsons Galleria on Oct. 2 is one great way to be involved on World Animal Day. The ‘When Kindness Matters’ event unites the community, especially here in Barangay Ugong Norte so that each one of us can make a difference and be part of something special,” said Robinsons Galleria Senior Mall Operations Manager Jonathan F. Ho.

‘Kindness Board’

The “When Kindness Matters” pet event will be highlighting the “Kindness Board” where attendees are invited to post their thoughts and ways to show kindness to animals. There will also be a talk on “Responsible Pet Ownership” as well as free consultation with the city’s best veterinarians. Other free services that will be offered are pet microchipping, deworming, and the most important of all, anti-rabies vaccination.

Pet owners just have to scan the QR code to register for their preferred pet services. The QR codes are posted in Robinsons Galleria and Robinsons Malls Happy Pets Club social media assets as well as QC Veterinary Department’s Facebook page.

Established in 2015, Robinsons Malls Happy Pets Club is comprised of mall goers who are also pet owners and lovers. Now, the club actively promotes pet welfare advocacies and activities espousing compassion for animals and responsible pet ownership.

Last month, it initiated the “Journey to Responsible Pet Ownership” program, which is a collaboration with the Animal Care and Disease Control Division of the Quezon City Veterinary Department and supported by the Animal Kingdom Foundation, a non-profit animal welfare NGO committed to improving the living conditions of animals.

The program will regularly be held in Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Novaliches and Robinsons Magnolia.

For Robinsons, the first mall chain in the country to launch an organized Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for pets, the event including “When Kindness Matters” only strengthens its image as a pet-friendly mall.

“One of the main reasons why we should treat our pets with kindness is because they can also experience pain, fear, and suffering just like us. They have emotions and as such, they deserve to be treated with the same level of compassion and respect that we would want for ourselves,” said Robinsons Land Director for Corporate Public Relation Roseann C. Villegas.
