BTS donates 1 billion won (Php 42.4 M) in ARMY’s name following contract renewal

On September 20, HYBE made an announcement that all seven members of BTS have renewed their exclusive contracts under BIGHIT MUSIC. The fans are filled with joy as the members enlist for their mandatory military service one by one and work on their respective solo projects. To celebrate this very happy moment, the band has made a huge donation.

BTS has made a donation worth 1 billion won which is equivalent to approximately 42 million pesos. The said donation was made for UNICEF to the Korean Committee. This is an extension of their LOVE MYSELF campaign which was launched in November 2017. What this campaign wants to achieve is to #ENDviolence against minors and make sure that children and teenagers are safe and healthy.

The BTS ARMY as well as the band have raised funds together previously to protect victims of domestic violence, school violence, and sexual assault around the world. BIGHIT MUSIC made it in the name of the ARMY to show their love and support for the fans and BTS.

Regarding the details of their contract, HYBE stated that it is likely that BTS will participate in full-length activities in 2025. The group is expected to make a comeback with all the members following their mandatory military service.

Recently, SUGA has announced his enlistment slated for September 22. That makes him the third member to join the service following fellow BTS members Jin and J-Hope. This is the second time the group has renewed the contract with the company.

The band’s leader RM added an Instagram story tagging the official BTS Instagram page writing #ARMY and 2025 with purple hearts on the side.

The news already has fans speculating about the duration of their new contract, with some guessing that it will go on until 2030, and others hoping it would last for 10 more years.
