Girl in a jacket

dhruv hypes up fans during his debut performance in Manila

Could it be the elevation? Or is everyone simply thrilled to see him sing on stage?

dhruv, who’s famously known for his track ‘double take,’ amused and amazed his fans at The Podium Hall on July 25.

The song serves as a heartfelt message, conveying his appreciation for the Filipino fans who patiently awaited his arrival for a long time.

Right after he sang ‘retrograde,’ he told the story behind his EP ‘rapunzel’ and told the Filipino fans that it’s great to see them. He then asked if we want to go to a place that no one else knows and no one else goes as he sang ‘moonlight.’

The mood of the concert went mellow with the stripped version of ‘what’s wrong with me?.’

He then went on to tell his story of growing up in Singapore, writing some of his songs when he was young. Afterward, he proceeded to sing the SoundCloud-exclusive ‘we were young’ and gave a firsthand warning that the lyrics were not his best work. However, as expected, the ‘feel-good’ song delivered a nostalgic mellow feel.

He then serenaded the crowd with one of his favorite jazz songs: Norah Jones’ ‘Don’t Know Why.’ He claims that it is one of his favorites that he always wants to cover.

After thanking the audience, Dhruv joked that he didn’t have any material left to perform. But there was one more song. The crowd knew it well, and that was his hit song, ‘double take.’ Of course, the audience sang their hearts out along with the singer.

All in all, gratefulness abounded the evening, with both dhruv and fans hoping there would be more of this kind of evening in the future.
