Aside from “Barbie,” Gerwig is also known as the director behind the famous movies namely “Lady Bird” and “Little Women.”

In 2018, Netflix acquired the rights for “The Chronicles of Narnia” book series and was developing films and series from it, according to a report. Before the streaming platform got the rights to the series, there were already some adaptations of the famous book series in the past.

The novels have been adapted into films before such as “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” in 2005, “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” in 2008, and “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” that was released in 2010.

The “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” revolved around the Pevensie siblings consisting of Peter (William Moseley), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edmund (Skandar Keynes), and Lucy (Georgie Henley) and their incredible journey in the magical land of Narnia with Aslan.

The “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian,” on the other hand, is about the return of the siblings to Narnia to help Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes).

The story of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” tells the return of Edmund and Lucy to the enchanted land with their cousin named Eustace (Will Poulter) as they went on an adventure across the sea aboard The Dawn Treader.
