Filipino content creator angers local busking community after ‘disrespecting’ a busker during performance

Facebook content creator Bungisngis TV is under fire after filming ‘disrespectful’ content with busker Jam Custodio in a mall in Bacolod.

In the now-deleted video, the content creator was seen sitting in front of Custodio while gleefully counting the busking money the busker earned on her guitar case before leaving a monetary tip.

His content irked the busking community including the Facebook busking group Metro Busker Club saying that his content is “very distasteful, disrespectful, and improper,” and “will set a bad example, especially to the young content creators.”

The content creator posted an ‘apology’ on his Facebook page addressed to the Metro Buskers Club and shared that in his defense, he asked permission from Custodio to film the content and that he wouldn’t just touch the money without consent.

According to him, he did the content in good faith with the intention of donating money. He also thanked his ‘basher’ as it increased the performance of his page on the platform as evident on his dashboard that was included in the post.

In a separate post, the content creator shared his conversation with Custodio, where the busker clarified that the content creator asked for permission to film content and that it is “all good” on her part.
