Widescope Entertainment introduces Helena with ‘Langit’ as debut single

Widescope Entertainment welcomes the band Helena as the newest addition to their roster of impressive artists. The five-part ensemble brings an edgy synth-pop sound with a unique blend of influences from the OPM scene. Composed of Louise Sanchez on vocals, Pampy Paulino on guitar, Kara Mendez on bass, Joshua Inocillas on drums, and Mark Banayo as the keyboardist, arranger, and composer, the band makes a bold statement with their first official original single, “Langit.”

Best described as an earnest love letter wrapped up in a pop-song package, “Langit” registers as a fresh and current arrangement for a timeless message about love. Filled with booming drums, groovy synth lines, catchy melodies, and relatable lyrics, it’s a solid introduction to Helena’s original music. With an electric blend of genres and styles, the track is sure to stand out against other synth-pop releases today. Recorded at the renowned Wild Grass studios, “Langit” also speaks to just how far the band has come.

Initially written by Banayo for his friends who were getting married, “Langit” has since evolved into a crowd favorite among listeners and even Widescope Entertainment’s very own, Ebe Dancel. Largely influenced by the band’s long-time friend and manager, Stanley Seludo, Helena has officially signed with Widescope Entertainment and is poised to reach new heights with more upcoming original releases. Along with the support of the label’s president, Vic de Vera, and director, Neil Gregorio, Helena’s got a promising future ahead of them and has come a long way since their early days on the music scene.

After countless performances as cover artists and developing their style as an independent outfit, the five members developed a close kinship as they frequently saw each other perform in multiple venues in the South. Born out of a mutual love for music with the right circumstances, the band finally felt ready to put out their own original music together. True to their Greek namesake, “Helena” – meaning ‘shining light’ – the five members have come together to create a unique sound that blurs genres and offers something refreshingly new.

“Langit” marks a new chapter in the story of Helena and Widescope Entertainment. As the band continues to evolve, keep an eye out for future releases that will surely make waves. Follow Helena’s journey on social media, and be sure to listen to “Langit,” now available on all major digital streaming platforms!
