The event consists of two parts: the Marketing Management Conference and the Gawad Marketista. In the morning session, there was an incredible lineup of speakers discussing the topic of brand awareness from different perspectives: as a business owner, as an artist, and as a corporate employee. The speakers included Kesia T. Francisco, the owner and founder of Kezia Boutiques, Rentals, and Bazaar; Allan Jeffrey Bacar, the author and illustrator of Sskait Comics; and Louise Ann Laksamana, the Head of Corporate Communications of Goldilocks Bakeshop, Inc. Special guests from Brilliant Skin Essentials, Inc., including the Founder and CEO Ms. Glenda D.C. Victorio, also delivered an inspirational message to the students.

During her speech, Ms. Laksamana, the main speaker, emphasized the importance of effectively translating the mission to the target market or consumer. As the event drew to a close, Ms. Glenda left the students with a powerful message: “I have dreams that I want to achieve, and if you have dreams too, don’t just dream. You need to accompany them with perseverance and action.” Her words inspired and reminded the students about the importance of pursuing their dreams.

In the afternoon session, the 3rd Annual Gawad Marketista 2023 continued its legacy as the Rizal Technological University (RTU) Junior Marketing Association in partnership with Ignite Production. The event was titled “Gawad Marketing Excellence: Fueling the Flames of Success.” It was noteworthy that the Gawad Marketista was the first face-to-face event held since the pandemic started.

Ms. Pauline Napoco was granted the Outstanding Academic Performance award. She emphasized that high grades are not necessary to prove oneself; what truly matters are the values carried throughout the journey. Ms. Camille Bongcayao received the top Breakthrough Awardee recognition for the year. Ms. Bongcayao mentioned that those who are still searching for their path should never stop dreaming and should never give up on their passions. Ms. Zed P. Monsanto was honored as the Top Leadership awardee. However, Ms. Monsanto was unable to attend the awarding ceremony due to personal reasons. The awarding ceremony concluded with the acknowledgment of the Junior Marketing Association officers.
