Sandara Park reveals the reason behind her choice not to settle down

The Philippines’ “Pambansang Krung Krung” and former 2NE1 member Sandara Park says that she won’t get married for a somewhat controversial, and yet very relatable reason.

In a preview for next week’s episode for YouTube web show, “No Back Tak Jae-hoon,” Sandara Park was asked the question by actor, singer and entertainer Tak Jae-hoon, “Why aren’t you getting married?” to which she immediately replied saying, “I’m a non-maritalist.”

MC Tak Jae-hoon became intrigued after Park’s immediate answer and asked, “Why, do you hate men?” And Sandara Park answered honestly (and teasingly), “I’ve seen too many people who had failed (marriages) around me.”

Tak Jae-hoon laughed at Sandara Park’s reply, as he is a divorced man with 2 children from his ex-wife.

Fans of the K-Pop star reacted positively to Sandara Park’s point-of-view.

Sandara Park’s stance on marriage is actually very relatable—everyone at some point must have thought that getting married is one of the best things that could happen to you. But, if marriage would be the cause for people to be in pain or to be broken, then it’s better to not be married at all.

One doesn’t need to be married in order to be happy—we can all be happy on our own or with the people that we choose. Let’s all respect the people that choose to not marry and their reasons.
