BLACKPINK breaks the ‘most viewed music channel on YouTube’ record with over 30 billion views

BLACKPINK continues to dominate the music industry with their group achievements and solo careers, currently holding the title for the most viewed music channel on YouTube with over 30 billion video views.

As of April 22, 2023, the official YouTube channel of the sensational K-pop group hailing from South Korea has reached 30,466,276,569 video views, surpassing the title held previously by Maroon 5 with 9 billion views in 2018.

One of BLACKPINK’s earlier singles, “뚜두뚜두 (DDU-DU DDU-DU),” alone has over two billion views.

Without a doubt, BLACKPINK’s success doesn’t stop there. The group also holds multiple records, including the most subscribers for a band on YouTube, and being the first K-pop group to reach No.1 on the UK albums chart (female) and the first to reach No.1 on the US albums chart (female).

Just last month, BLACKPINK became the most streamed female group on Spotify with over 8.8 billion individual streams. The group, consisting of Rosé, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo, was formed in 2016 and has since amassed an incredible following worldwide. Each member of the group also has a massive social media presence, with over 70 million followers on Instagram each.
