The focus track, “DON’T WAKE ME UP” by DACEY is a beachy, dream-pop track describing the bitter and helpless feeling of a sweet love turned sour. Capturing a semilucent, sentimental daydream of a romance slipping between one’s fingertips, DACEY’s saccharine vocals are sure to have you singing along in your next seaside, sunset drive.

Vancouver-based Indie / Alt-R&B sensation DACEY (pronounced DA-SEE) leaves you captivated with their honest lyricism and flawless rhythm. Consisting of duo Dacey Andrada (lead singer) and Justin Tecson (guitar / keys), DACEY creates genre-fluid music using the sounds of alternative R&B, Neo-Soul, Jazz and Indie. Inspired by The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and Anderson .Paak, DACEY produces forward-thinking, melodic stories through their music.

The 4 track genre-blending compilation album showcases an impressive array of emerging Philippine artists. The tracks include DACEY – “DON’T WAKE ME UP”, Kristina Alcordo – “Senseless”, Cabu, “Go Back (feat Gabby Nacua)”, and 8rae’s “Panalo”. Collectively, “semilucent 3” embodies the individual artists’ Filipino heritage and culture.

“The Philippines and music go hand in hand, and there is such a vibrancy in the way talented young artists are emerging, and such a massive audience in love with music,” 88rising founder Sean Miyashiro said in a statement. “We want to support their voices, help them be heard, and bring music from the Philippines to a global audience.”

About PARADISE RISING

88rising’s Filipino sister label, PARADISE RISING is a platform that brings together emerging Filipino talents to the forefront of globall youth culture.
