10 spooky topics for a Halloween-themed PowerPoint night

PowerPoint nights have become a fun and hilarious way to bond with your friends and family. With so many topics to choose from, either fitting into a theme or just a general free for all, PowerPoint nights have a lot of laughter potential. The beauty of PowerPoint nights is that you could talk about anything and everything.

Now that it’s spooky season, you might want to try adding PowerPoint presentations into your Halloween party program. Here are 10 terrifyingly brilliant spooky topics to inspire your Halloween themed PowerPoint night.

1. Jack-o-lanterns that remind me of you

Although we don’t really carve pumpkins here in the Philippines, the many pumpkins that do get carved all have certain vibes to them. Feel free to give an explanation or just forgo one completely to keep some of the mystery alive.

2. What candy I would feed certain Pinoy actors

Who gets the tricks and who gets the treats?

3. Which horror movie ghost/killer would you be?

Who amongst your friends just totally gives ghost vibes, murderer vibes, or even a murderous haunted house vibes like in Monster House

4. Which Philippine mythology creatures would be in our barkada

You could play this out like the cafeteria scene in Mean Girls. Calculate how you think certain Philippine mythological creatures would act and if they would get along with your crew. Who would be “the greatest people you will ever meet” or “the worst”?

5. If we were in a slasher film (order of death and how each person would die)

Who would be the first to go and who would have the chance of actually beating up the killer to a pulp? You can also categorize your friends into the different standard characters in slasher films from the final girl to even the killer!

6. Ranking all Scary Movie films from worst to best

Created by the hilarious Wayans brothers (of White Chick fame) and always starring the iconic Anna Faris and Regina Hall, the Scary Movie film series delivered five top tier horror parodies, though some may be considered better than the others.

7. Vampires that I wouldn’t mind being bitten by

If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!

8. The actual scariest things in all our lives rn

Feel free to make this as real and deep as you want to. IRL scary things may include (but are not limited to) organizing visa requirements, the thought of staying single forever, ordering at a restaurant, etc.

9. Halloween movie characters that could make good s/o’s (and why)

With so many Halloween appropriate movies, there are some characters that stand out more than most. Feel free to include as many characters you want, regardless of mortality or… humanity…

10. How we would each react if we found out someone in the kada was possessed

Which of your friends would even believe that someone is possessed in the first place? Who would you trust to make the most logical plan? You could even include your guess as to who the possessed person would most likely be.

Whether you improvise your presentation on the spot or act like it’s your thesis defense with some flash cards prepared weeks in advance, PowerPoint nights are sure to leave you laughing no matter what time of the year it is!
