New Valorant agent leak turns out to be just a prank

Recently, the Valorant community was abuzz about a leak of what appeared to be a new agent known as Mage. The leaked photo made its rounds in the community, with some very intrigued by the new agent’s abilities. From the leaked photo, it could be seen that Mage had some super powerful and broken utilities. However, it turns out that this whole Valorant agent leak was just one big prank by a TikTok user.

We can see the supposed leak in this tweet above. The agent is censored in the image with blue colors, and there are a few typos in the descriptions of the agent’s skills. In this TikTok video below, the prankster explains how he was able to trick the world with just Photoshop and a little bit of effort.

@valoleakr How I trolled the whole Valorant Community #valorant #valorantgaming #mage #agent21 #leak #newagentvalorant #valorantfypp #valorantfyp ♬ original sound – val leaks

The TikToker first made his Mage concept agent icons with other agent icons as a basis. He then took a simple picture of Cypher and his skills and removed the agent’s abilities through Photoshop. He then replaced those abilities with the ones he made up, using the correct font by trial and error to make it look genuinely believable. After that, all he had to do was censor Cypher using blue color, take a picture of the finished product using his phone, and post it on Reddit. The post immediately blew up, gaining more than 500k views and a 97% upvote rate. It quickly spread throughout the community like wildfire.

Three days after his prank, he finally revealed the truth with his TikTok above. It turns out that with the right skills, it is terribly easy to troll a community on the internet.
