Bryanboy, a well-known Filipino blogger and socialite, mispronounced BTS’ V’s real name, Taehyung, which upset and offended some fans.
BTS’ V and other Korean celebrities such as Lisa from Black Pink and Park Bo Gum attended the Celine Fashion Week event in Paris.
Bryanboy, whom most Filipinos refer to as “Ninang”, attended the event and posted a TikTok video featuring Lisa Manoban.
Some fans were thrilled to see Lisa and Ninang, while others noticed that Bryanboy skipped or did not greet Taehyung at the event.
This is where Bryanboy made such an offensive mistake for Taehyung stans.
When asked if he had a photo with V, he responded by making a TikTok wherein he mispronounces V’s name.

Bryanboy pronounced Taehyung’s name as Tah-Eh-hyung, pronouncing the “Tae” part of the name like the Filipino word for poop. V’s followers were outraged and disappointed with the Filipino blogger, saying that if he doesn’t know how to pronounce V’s name, he should at least look it up and not disrespect it.
filo armys couldn't care less if that bryanboy doesn't know V at all. the issue is how he pronounced taehyung's name with sarcasm and insult which appears to be a form of racism. sampalin ko kayo eh.

Bryanboy there's nothing wrong if you don't know Taehyung at all. Mispronouncing it the first time is okay too but repeating it using as a mock is not okay. I'm sure you know calling people “that” as a name is disrespectful. Please do better @bryanboy! pic.twitter.com/z3bUHM5t12

Please help report this Filipino influencer who is purposefully being racist to T**hyung on Tiktok. He has millions of followers & posted this video to mock him & intentionally mispronounced his name, making the first syllable to mean poop in Filipino.https://t.co/dYfno8Nxjy
