Twitter pokes fun at ‘Joker’ sequel possibly becoming a musical

Imagine the Joker, a psychotic criminal mastermind, doing a choreographed dance number alongside Harley Quinn, with some goons from Gotham as the background dancers, La La Land style.

It’s a weird idea, but it just might be possible as there are rumors that the sequel to 2019’s Joker might just be a musical. What’s more surprising is that Lady Gaga is rumored to star as Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Joker director Tod Phillip and writer Scott Silver had been working on a script, and they have a name for the sequel – Joker: Folie à Deux.

There aren’t many details about Lady Gaga’s involvement just yet. However, she might play Harley Quinn, Joker’s psychiatrist turned girlfriend, lover, and partner in crime. Of course, this Harley Quinn would be a completely different character from Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, as they exist outside of the established DC Cinematic Universe that involves the Suicide Squad and other related movies.

Since the prospect of a Joker musical is kind of surprising, Twitter just had to make play around with the idea. Let’s take a look at some tweets relating to this whole project.
