Globe creates courage with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story commercial

It is often said that courage comes after you take the first step.

In this case, it only takes a Stormtrooper helmet and a supportive brother to #CreateCourage.

Globe Telecom, one of the leading telecommunication companies in the Philippines, have partnered up with Disney Southeast Asia to produce one of the most moving advertisements you’ll find today.

The ad features a day in the life of two siblings: an older brother, and a younger sibling who wears a Stormtrooper helmet wherever she goes. As the story progresses, it is revealed that she wears it to cope with her disability as her older brother supports and stands by her side loyally.

In just two days after this ad was uploaded in Globe Telecom’s Facebook page, it has already gone viral with over 3.9 million views, 88,000 shares and 144,000 reactions. It has also been featured in international websites such as The Huffington Post, Adweek, and Mashable to name a few.

The ad is part of Globe’s #Create campaign and encourages consumer to #CreateCourage in everyday life. The campaign encourages people to take part by posting a photo of themselves wearing a Stormtrooper helmet as a Facebook or Twitter profile with the hashtag. This, in turn, will give them a chance to win a trip to the U.S.

Furthermore, the campaign seeks to inspire people to donate for the renovations of the pediatric ward at the Philippine General Hospital to aid in bringing joy to young patients this holiday season.
