While most brides dream to float down the aisle in a billowy white dress, there has been a slow but noticeable evolution of traditional wedding attire as seen on the bridal runways in recent years. When more women are opting to wear suits to their weddings, bridal designers are quite literally following suit. These two- to three-piece suits, jumpsuits, and half-dress half-suit pieces are making a statement on femininity and bridal wear, especially in an age where civil and same-sex marriages are becoming more commonplace.
Just like the versatility of a dress, suits can be customized to fit the style of the bride, whether she wants to keep it simple and clean or go all out with the beading and lace appliqués. Here are just a few suits to inspire modern brides:
Carolina Herrera Spring 2017
Viktor & Rolf Spring 2017
Naeem Khan Fall 2018
Ashi Studio S/S 2018
Tadashi Shoji Spring 2019
