The cult-comedy film The Devil Wears Prada has served us with some of the most savage hits and banters from Meryl Streep’s character, Miranda Priestly, the dragon-lady fashion magazine editor.
But can we also agree that some of the sassiest one-liners came from Miranda’s ambitious and career-driven secretary, Emily Charlton?
This is why we many are thrilled when Lauren Weisberger, The Devil Wears Prada’s book author, announced that an upcoming book sequel about Emily will be released next year! Weisberger took to Instagram to share the cover of her forthcoming novel, “When Life Gives You Lululemons”.

The last thing we know about Emily in The Devil Wears Prada is that she was back in Miranda’s office in crutches after she met a car accident that left her out on the Paris Fashion Week.
But it seems like Emily may have took some career advice from Andy Sachs and decided to leave Miranda and go on her on too.
According to the synopsis of the upcoming book, Emily is “now a highly successful image consultant who’s just landed the client of a lifetime.” Emily has to brave the suburbs of Greenwich, Connecticut for the dream client she desperately needs: Karolina Hartwell, a popular model and wife of a newly elected New York Senator who has a DUI (Driving under the influence) case to overcome. Completing the new trio of this story is Miriam, the link between the two. She recently left a prestigious law firm to move to Greenwich and be a stay-at-home mom but found out that it was even more stressful than a legal career.

Now can we also have a movie of this and see Emily Blunt back as her namesake, the sassy but classy Emily?
