EXO’s Kai has finally made his 1st solo comeback with his second mini album “Peaches” on November 30, 2021 at 6 P.M. KST. His solo comeback date also marks Kai’s one-year anniversary as a solo artist, where he debuted with his self-titled mini album last year.
Prior to the release of the EP and music video, Kai held a countdown live on EXO’s YouTube Channel, where he celebrated the one-year anniversary of his solo debut and talked to fans about his “Peaches” EP.
“Peaches” consists of six tracks, with the title track bearing the same name as the album. The title track is described in Soompi as a “medium-tempo R&B song” that was composed by Wolfgvng, Zach Sorgen, Ryan Jhun, Harold Philippon, and famous SM producer Yoo Young Jin, with lyrics by Kim An Na (ARTiffect).
Lyrically, “Peaches” compares romantic moments shared with a lover to a peach, and wanting to stay in those moments that feel like paradise. The title track’s music video has astounding visuals—with hues of pastel colors painting the background and a modern take on traditional Korean clothing.
Kai’s visual and artistry card never decline—much like any other EXO member. EXO-Ls were mesmerized by Kai’s latest music video, sharing all of their love and feelings for the EXO member’s solo comeback all over social media with the hashtag #KAI2ndSOLO, and even trended his name “jongin”.

#KAI2ndSOLO showed Kai's artistic side, for me it's good that his debut is Mmmh because that was the image of Kai generally but here in Peaches, it actually represents who Kim Jongin is as an artist.
His voice and back vocals in Peaches are absolutely soothing 🤧 pic.twitter.com/Uk5Gj1iXy0

jongin raising the bar once again, he set the standard so high with his first album that some were questioning how’d he top it & just like that he did with peaches, never doubt him & his artistry again.

Jongin: I also released EXO’s ‘DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING’ album. The fact that I got to release an album with the members itself made me so happy so even during such busy schedules, I was able to work happily on the album just with the thought that I’m doing it with the members. —— pic.twitter.com/K4qYfdK9ey
