Dispatch, every K-Pop stan’s worst enemy, suddenly turns over a new leaf

Dispatch Korea is infamous in every K-Pop and K-Drama stans’ book. The reason: their exposure and the breach of artists’ private lives in order to churn out stories and rumors.

One of the stories Dispatch is known to release is its yearly “New Year couple”, where they release evidence and proof that two artists from the Korean entertainment industry have been dating for a while. For this year, Dispatch revealed that “Crash Landing On You” stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were an item—and later on the two confirmed that they were happily dating.

This time, instead of exposing another artist’s private life to the public and causing a lot of uproar in the K-Pop and K-Drama stan community, the Korean media outlet decided to do some good—especially with Kim Seon-ho’s current controversy.

In case you’re not up to date with the situation, here’s a short summary: last October 17, 2021, a woman claiming to be the ex-girlfriend of “Actor K” posted anonymous allegations on a Korean online forum saying that the actor had forced her to get an abortion and misled her about their relationship before breaking up with her.

Later on, it was revealed that “Actor K” was referring to Kim Seon-ho, whose hit drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” had just recently concluded. Numerous brands and projects started dropping the South Korean star following the anonymous allegations.

Two days later, Kim Seon-ho apologized for the scandal that his private life had caused saying, “I was seeing her with good emotions. In that process, I hurt her due to my carelessness and inconsiderate actions. I wanted to meet and apologise to her directly, but I am not able to properly convey the apology now and am waiting for that time to come. For now, I would like to genuinely apologise to her through this statement.”

Then, on October 26, 2021, Dispatch Korea revealed evidence and a fully detailed report about Kim Seon-ho and his ex-girlfriend’s relationship. Complete with interviews from Kim Seon-ho’s friends, Choi Young-ah’s acquaintances, and screenshots of their conversations, Dispatch reported that Kim Seon-ho was actually a loving and dedicated boyfriend to Choi Young-ah, who took care of her even after the abortion and understood her situation to the best he could.

K-Drama stan Twitter was surprised with these revelations from Dispatch Korea, and expressed all their shock and satisfaction with how the Korean media outlet cleared “Good Boy’s” name.

It’s been a wild rollercoaster ride of emotions for Kim Seon-ho and his fans, and all we can do now is wait for more updates to this whole exposé.

Thank you, Dispatch! For not ruining someone’s hard-earned career this time.
