Stardew Valley creator teases brand-new game titled ‘Haunted Chocolatier’

Farm-life simulator Stardew Valley now has a sibling! Its name—the “Haunted Chocolatier”.

Stardew Valley developer Eric Barone, popularly known online as ConcernedApe, made the surprise reveal on his Twitter account, announcing that he was in the works for developing a brand-new game called “ConcernedApe’s Haunted Chocolatier”. Along with this reveal came an early gameplay video and some screenshots from the game.

Haunted Chocolatier, as the name suggests, will be a chocolate shop simulator where the player will be handling a haunted chocolate shop filled with spooky vibes and other elements—like ghosts, of course. The game will be similar to its predecessor in terms of its aesthetic and design but will be different in terms of its focus, as what ConcernedApe mentioned in a blog post.

“In Stardew Valley, the focus was more humble: living off the land, growing food, and connecting to the people and nature around you. However, with my next game, I wanted to explore more fantastical possibilities… experiences that take you beyond the ordinary. That’s where magical haunted ghost chocolate comes in.”

ConcernedApe has been tirelessly working on his first game, Stardew Valley, for 10 years and counting, having developed numerous and major free patches on the farm and quaint town-life simulator.

This big reveal is definitely a surprise to many, especially to ConcernedApe’s fans. They all showed their excitement and feelings towards the Haunted Chocolatier reveal on Twitter.

Haunted Chocolatier is slated for a PC release soon, but ConcernedApe has not revealed any details to its release date.

Looking at the details, screenshots, and early gameplay video, we obviously can’t wait to start our haunted chocolate shop soon!
