Pinoy Classroom TikTok, bringing back the daily fun of face-to-face classes

It’s been over a year since online classes became a thing. As much as everyone has been trying to adjust to this, there are just some things that hit different in face-to-face classes.

These TikTokers make the difference even more distinct as they remind us of in-person class nostalgia. Filipino Classroom TikTok is full of familiar and relatable scenes from school before it was facilitated behind a screen.

Remember the bittersweet pain of getting a fresh pair of braces.

You can either relate to these school sweetheart moments because they happened to you in real life or… because they fueled your in class day dreaming fantasies.

Starting off with a dance video with his friends, Ranollo decided to try out making comedic skits, eventually landing on classroom content as his main source of inspiration.

Taking 3-5 hours per TikTok– due to costume changes, conceptualization, and editing– Ranollo’s hilarious content are all mostly improvised. “Hindi ako usually gumagawa ng script,” he explains “what pops up in my head, yun na yun.”

The Esnyr universe is filled with many colorful and memorable characters that you might recognize no matter what you school you went to. It fascinated Ranollo that “may mga types of students pala talaga na mga ganon in everyone’s classroom setting,” adding that “I am very happy na I make [viewers] happy by letting them reminisce their experiences through my vids.”

Basing most of his characters on real people he’s encountered personally, Ranollo says that “natatawa talaga ako eh thinking that portraying them would lead me to where I am today making videos about our experiences.”

“I enjoy portraying all of the characters because it reminds me of my classmates during my high school years,” says Ranollo. But if he had to choose, Andrei may be his favorite character to portray. The quiet kid who lowkey knows all the tea, Ranollo explains that “this character is very universal to every classroom.” Ranollo also added that one of the other reasons he loves this character so much is due to the immense love Andrei is given by other people.

There are so many memories made in school in and outside of class, “jamming with my classmates during our vacant time” is a memory treasured by Ranollo. If he knew that that was going to be the last time he’d see his classmates in real life, “I should’ve given my all singing those songs,” exclaiming that “nakakamiss kaya!!!”

Pinoy Classroom TikTok reminds people of the big and small things that made face-to-face classes a little bit different every day. Ranollo believes that “nothing beats the experience in face-to-face classes, napakasaya dabet!!!”

So let Pinoy Classroom TikTok tide you over as we all continue to hold out hope that one day, we will all get to relive these TikToks and memories in real life once more.

Some more than others though…
