Even of Day channel their forlorn feelings of love in their latest comeback

DAY6’s sub-unit Even of Day is finally back with brand-new music and sound through their 2nd mini-album titled, “Right Through Me”.

The album was released on July 5, 2021, 6 P.M. KST with a music video for its title track, “뚫고 지나가요 (Right Through Me)”. Consisting of seven tracks, the members have described the process of writing and composing the album as a “challenge” and of a “different style” compared to their previous works through a group promotional film reel posted on their YouTube channel.

“Right Through Me” is a song combining jazz sounds and hip-hop rhythms reminiscent of the 90s, giving a more ballad vibe as it goes on, composed by YoungK, Wonpil, and Hong Ji Sang and lyrics written by YoungK.

The accompanying music video shows each member’s emotional acting, all representing a different kind of loss in love. Prior promotional images and posters also portray a vintage mood for the entire album, almost similar to Wong Kar Wai’s films.

This release marks the sub-unit’s first comeback after their debut album “The Book of Us: Gluon” last August 2020, and soon after their most recent release as DAY6 with “The Book of Us: Negentropy – Chaos swallowed up in love”.
