Calling all Potterheads, New York City opened up the biggest Harry Potter shop last June 03 with a magical treat for all muggles.
The three-floored shop is designed inspired by the Harry Potter series — with details from Fawkes the phoenix, to various wands of your favorite character, and even Nagini as one of the decorations.
Here’s what’s in store for all Harry Potter fans.
Visitors are welcomed by Fawkes the phoenix who is hanging over a table full of new merchandise. The phoenix is one of the official props from the movie that can be seen scattered around the shop.
Voldemort’s horcruxes such as Marvolo Gaunt’s ring, Ravenclaw’s diadem, and Tom Riddles’ notebook are also spread throughout the shop. Don’t worry it’s Voldemort safe!
Catch the golden snitch and stare in awe at the infamous firebolt of Harry Potter in the shop. The golden egg which was also used in the Triwizard tournament in Goblet of Fire movie adds to all of our Hogwarts craze.
Harry Potter’s favorite drink, butterbeer, is available at the world’s first butterbeer bar where they also sell butterbeer ice cream, Harry Potter inspired cupcakes, cookies, and chocolate wands.
Somewhere, Ron Weasely’s stomach is growling when he sees the Honeydukes themed candy room where chocolate frogs, Bertie Botts every flavor jelly beans, Exploding Bonbons, and more are available at the shop.
You can’t complete your stay in the shop without checking out the wands in which you may buy your favorite character’s wand, or even personalize your own wand and engrave your name. Don’t tell Voldemort he can buy the elder wand here.
Cash out your galleons at Gringotts with loads of new merchandise and collectibles offered in this shop.
Make sure to check out the detailed designs of the shop such as the floo network elevator, and check out the lifesize poster of Rubeus Hagrid. Are you as tall as Hagrid?
The shop will follow guidelines, adhering to protocols and will limit the capacity to ensure physical distancing. All staff and customers are required to wear face masks.
