After DAY6’s comeback as a group last April, their sub-unit named DAY6 (Even of Day) will soon release their next mini album this coming July!
JYP Entertainment announced the 3-member band’s comeback on their social media accounts on June 14, 2021, 12MN KST with a teaser poster spoiling their concept for their newest release. The image featured different cut-outs of letters from magazines to spell out “Right Through Me” and the date and time of their comeback. It also featured different elements such as alcoholic drinks and bottles, a fireworks display, a room’s wallpaper, fish, the moon, and facial features of the members.
DAY6 (Even of Day)’s 2nd mini album is set to be released on July 5, 2021, at 6PM KST. This announcement came as a surprise to the group’s fans, who were not expecting a comeback from the group or the sub-unit since the band’s leader, Sungjin, recently enlisted into the military, and not soon after DAY6’s latest album, “The Book of Us: Negentropy”.
“Right Through Me” marks the sub-unit’s first comeback after their debut mini album “The Book of Us: Gluon” with lead single, “Where The Sea Sleeps” last August 2020. DAY6 (Even of Day) includes members Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon – the current active members of DAY6.
The members of the sub-unit have been quite busy with their solo schedules, with Wonpil starring in a musical, Young K being a radio DJ on “Kiss the Radio” and music releases with different artists, and Dowoon vlogging on his own YouTube channel. This made their fans, MyDays, believe that they were focusing on their solo activities first before releasing new music, but with the sudden announcement, fans were left feeling like clowns.
DAY6 is a South Korean pop rock band from JYP Entertainment under the label Studio J, who has been called “South Korea’s Representative Band”, with their past releases always exceeding the expectations of their fans and critics.
Are you ready for another “no skip album” from DAY6 (Even of Day), MyDays?
