Stank Tank announces album; releases new single ‘Disbelief’

Stank Tank is set to follow their latest single, Drip, with a fresh one, Disbelief, which will be available on April 2, 2021 on digital platforms worldwide. These will all lead up to the band’s debut album (title TBA) which is currently slated to be released at the start of 2Q 2021.

Disbelief is an exhibition of the playfulness of Stank Tank as a band. Think of it as Alice in Wonderland, but in song form. The colorful instrumentals, consummated by the prevailing playfulness of the keys, does not only induce the disbelief that comes with discovering a new magical world of sound, but also encourages you to visualize the imagery of a trip while going through the song.

Stank Tank

The song starts off with fasted-paced cymbals and hollow floating keys that ease you in, as you begin your journey. As you progress, the different sections of the song start to build up the world you are exploring, giving each space its own character. Transitions between the distinct sections of the song flow seamlessly, binding the song into one single wonky trip.

The unconventional instrumentals and arrangement of the song bring in the feeling of the unusual and of confusion, similar to that when one enters the unknown. This resonates throughout the entire song, preparing you for the climax where the band really starts to go crazy — kind of like that intense last part of a movie — resolving the song in chaos, and leaving the listener suspended in utter disbelief.

You can listen to Stank Tank on Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, or any other streaming platforms worldwide!
