Engineering Congress 2021: Disaster Risk Management

Harboring immense resilience for 2020, Civil engineering Executive Organization (CEO) continues to strive to promote academic, social, and professional excellence in our respective careers, with ENGINEERING CONGRESS 2021 as a steppingstone to prepare for whatever may come!

There is no objection that the year 2020 has been extremely challenging with; the eruption of Taal Volcano; the outbreak of coronavirus disease, popularly known as COVID-19, which led the country to implement the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ); and the series of typhoons that devastated and flooded several provinces in Luzon. The country’s susceptibility to disasters should be addressed and minimized.

The Civil engineering Executive Organization (CEO) presents Engineering Congress 2021: Disaster Risk Management, which comprises the Engineering Seminar via Facebook Live, and the first-ever Executives’ Challenge CAD Edition, on March 13, 2021. These two major events will revolve on the theme “Reinforcing Frameworks: Strengthening the Philippine Structures and Complexes Through Engineering Integration, Smart Planning and Optimizing Advanced Technology Towards Sustainable Development”. The Engineering Seminar is a national forum featuring distinct speakers from various companies and organizations who will impart knowledge on their respective fields of engineering, and the Engineering Challenge CAD Edition is a national intercollegiate competition that aims to exhibit the skills on computer-aided design of students from different universities in the country.

In relation to this, CEO takes greater lengths with its collaboration with Citizens’ Disaster Response Center (CDRC), a non-government organization which aims to promote community-based disaster management in the country, in service to this year’s Engineering Congress objectives; to aid and advocate for sustainable development. A donation drive is taking place for the benefit of CDRC, to help their aim in responding to disaster situations of sections vulnerable to hazards and disasters due to their socio-economic conditions, most especially to children, women, elderly, and differently abled. To send your donations, inquire to the official Facebook page, Engineering Congress, or contact and coordinate with Giennan Marco Antonio, through [email protected] or 0912 990 6883.
