Gorilla Glue isn’t a substitute for hairspray, take it from this TikToker

Tessica Brown has been the center of attention on TikTok recently, but for reasons you wouldn’t be particularly proud of.

The Louisiana woman went viral after seeking help on the app for a hair dilemma. She had used Gorilla Glue to keep her locks in place when she ran out of her go-to hairspray. Apparently it’s been stuck to her scalp for about a month, and she’s been struggling to get it off.

Going by the user @im_d_ollady, Tessica exclaimed in her video, “I’ve washed my hair 15 times and it don’t move.”

After Tessica’s TikTok began circulating, Gorilla Glue released a statement regarding her predicament. The brand clarified that its product is meant for industrial use, and it does not indicate that it is suitable for your hair. Gorilla Glue emphasized that while her TikTok is concerning, the warning label on the bottle clearly states the proper precautions when using the adhesive.

While Tessica has gone to her local clinic to try and get some professional help, they weren’t able to provide her with an immediate solution. They gave her sterile water and nail polish remover pads to continue the removal process at home. Her and her sister documented the experience to update everyone who was following Tessica on her journey.

Look, we’re all guilty of looking for a quick fix when you run out of your favorite product. You either grab the next best thing or you go without it.

So take it from Tessica Brown, don’t take shortcuts  especially when it comes to your hair.
