A clip of an online audition went viral recently on social media after Euphoria actor Lukas Gage shared a recording of his virtual audition on Twitter, with a caption reminding a particular someone to mute their manure on Zoom meetings if they have nothing good to say:

The first few seconds of the video showed the actor looking well-prepared for his virtual audition for an undeclared role, making some quick fixes with the camera and with his hair. Except the unnamed director started mocking his apartment, completely forgetting to mute himself.
“These poor people live in these tiny apartments…”
“Like, I’m looking at his background, and he’s got his TV…,” the director said.
With complete class, the actor quickly responded by saying “Yeah, it’s a shitty apartment.”
“Listen, I live in a four-by-four box so just give me this job so I can get a better one.”
The director, realizing his Zoom microphone was in fact not muted, said “I’m so, so sorry. I’m mortified.”
Of course, Twitterverse quickly came to Lukas’ rescue:
The soul-sucking process actors go through to get work is more than I could ever handle. I can’t imagine getting rejected constantly, which I presume even the best actors must face all the time. Hat’s off.

He's got a fucking Bad Brains shirt on. That's automatic respect. I don't give two shits how big his apartment is.

Thank for you for posting this. We are all with you! You’re a class act and from the way you responded to this must be a joy to work with. Your apt looks pretty great to me and honestly, f that dude, he doesn’t deserve to work with someone like you
