A burglar who stole cash and goods from a pizza shop in California, United States apparently had the time to make a pizza for himself at the crime scene.
The man, whose name was withheld, was caught by security cameras making himself a whole pizza inside a Big Slice branch in Fullerton, as per CBS-owned KCAL-TV on Nov. 13.
The Fullerton Police Department posted the footage on Facebook where they referred to the man as the “Pizza Burglar,” a spin on the Hamburglar. They have since taken down the post.
The video showed the man, who donned a gray hoodie and a baseball cap, measuring out dough for the pizza while wearing gloves, the report said. He spent over two hours inside the pizza shop.
Aside from the pizza, the man stole cash, tablets and the shop’s delivery car. Police were able to recover some of the items.
The burglar has since been arrested but police chose to not disclose his identity to the public, according to the report.
In an interview with the news outlet, the pizza shop’s manager, Rafael Calles, quipped that the burglar must have been hungry. He was quoted as saying, “It’s kind of funny, but we got hit and it’s not nice.” JB
