Felino Dolloso – Finding work as an Actor in chaotic 2020 Covid 19 times and beyond

Finding work as an actor and trying to find consistent work has always been a challenge for any actor.

2020 with no doubt has been one of the most challenging times for actors with numerous projects being cancelled due to the pandemic.

In the same boat is Filipino born actor FELINO DOLLOSO.

He has been carving an acting career for more than ten years taking on different roles and working in all three mediums of acting in Films, Television and Theatre.

Not all have been a perfect fit with some roles and projects being not quite the right job or role for Dolloso for whatever reason.

Still it all added to the experience with Dolloso slowly finding his style and his way of working as an actor.

Dolloso relishes in challenging roles and projects which are mainly character driven.

These roles and projects are now being offered and made available to him.

2020 is a year in which Dolloso received accolades for his work in past projects and the year he has taken on more mature off centre patriarchal roles.

SURVIVE OR DIE feature film Director/Producer Daniel Okoduwa had this to say about Dolloso.

Survive or Die has received many accolades since being released including a Best Actor nomination for Dolloso.

The film is now Streaming on Prime Video in Australia, Europe, Asia and other parts of the world.

It will be released in the United States on the 1st of November 2020 – on Amazon Prime Video, FandangoNOW(US), InDemand (US)- Cable VOD , DVD , other platforms to be announced.

IN HEAVEN THEY SING KARAOKE is a feature film Directed by Matthew Victor Pastor based on the stage play that Dolloso wrote.

It is still in post-production with plans for it to have a goal to be released in 2021.

Dolloso plays the Lead role in the film.

SUSHI NOH is a horror genre film which Dolloso apparently relished in playing the lead role of Uncle Donnie scrumptiously.

Directed and Written by Jayden Rathsam Hua.

The film is currently in post production and with plans to be also released in 2021.

Dolloso is also set to work with Rathsam Hua again in an upcoming new feature film after being asked to play a new role which Rathsam Hua has written in for Dolloso after working with him.

FUN TIMES is the second film project that Felino Dolloso and Matthew Victor Pastor have worked on with Pastor asking Dolloso to play a small role in the film playing a role of the father to the protagonist after working with him in the film In Heaven They Sing Karaoke.

It has been well received in the film festival circuit with screenings in the St Kilda Film Festival, Perth Film Festival, Adelaide Film Festival and others internationally.

THE PARK is a new film that Dolloso has taken on.

He will play the enigmatic role ‘Gabriel’.

Written and Directed by Carlo Pallan.

Filming set for late 2020.

With 2021 just around the corner, Dolloso has already been approached and in talks for other film projects.

They say wine gets better with age; perhaps this is also the case for Dolloso.
