The UP Engineering Society (UP Eng’gSoc) is the first college-based academic organization based on the College of Engineering in the University of the Philippines-Diliman. As an organization that upholds its mission of being an advocate of academic excellence and has committed to provide service for the University and the community, UP Eng’gSoc brings HeadsUP: UPCAT Review Series 2019.
The review series is designed to prepare senior high school students, not limited to Grade 12 students, for their entrance exams by not only holding review sessions but also providing modules, session tests, a diagnostic exam, a mock UPCAT as well as tips from first-hand takers. Students will learn from the organization’s seasoned tutors and distinguished alumni engineers who will be instructors for the review sessions. This project helps students who cannot afford expensive review centers but want to pursue a degree in prestigious universities like the University of the Philippines.
For this year, HeadsUP will be conducted the whole day of August 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2019, and will be held inside the College of Engineering, University of the Philippines – Diliman and inside partner schools in Metro Manila. Last year, HeadsUP accommodated nearly 200 students inside UP Diliman and three partner schools. This year, the organization plans to accommodate more students in order to maximize the service it can provide to the future Iskos and Iskas.
