ARMYs speculate BTS x ‘Despicable Me 4’ collaboration following release of mysterious posters

It’s time to wave your lightsticks, BTS fans! That’s because our boys are collaborating in an anonymous way with the animated film “Despicable Me 4.” The film has a hilarious trailer that has been out since January of this year, hinting at its July 3, 2024 release date.

The excitement began to build since June 12, when various “BTS x DM4” promotional posters were spotted in Los Angeles. The promo features hearts in the colors black, yellow, and purple. The final color denotes the unmistakable connection to BTS—it has been linked to the boy band for many years.

ARMYs are curious about the purpose of this collaboration as the movie’s premiere approaches and the promotional material becomes more intense. Is it a cameo, a song, or merchandise? There is genuine suspense! One thing is certain, though the true motivation behind this collaboration is still unknown: BTS and Despicable Me 4 is the collaboration we didn’t realize we needed!

One June 13, the official X account of “minions,” tweeted a video showing the poster “BTS x DM4” and tagged the band.

As of this writing, there has been no official announcement yet regarding the nature of the collaboration.

The K-pop band just celebrated their 11th anniversary and the military discharge of their eldest member, Jin.
