Dog trainer Suzanne Clothier says AI was used to create a book in her name, without her consent

Dog trainer Suzanne Clothier reveals that she did not consent to writing a book that was later found to be made by artificial intelligence.

In a Facebook post, she wrote, “Today’s fun: Discovering I have published a new book *without even knowing it!* That’s how talented I am.”

“AI has been used to generate an entire book published in my name. A kind fan let me know she had bought it, not realizing it was NOT from me, and was shocked at the cheap printing, awful writing and so many other ways that it was clear I had nothing to do with this,” her post continued.

The book was titled “The Best Way to Meet Your Dog: Navigating Canine Behavior and Relationships,” and the author clarified in her post that it is not her work.

It is unsettling and disturbing to consider that this book appropriated a substantial amount of material from other dog trainers, such as Kim Brophey, besides Clothier. The dog trainer has already filed complaints with Amazon to have the infringing content removed.

Concluding her statement, she urged people to remain vigilant and stated, “This is going to be the future, I fear. Stay alert, and keep an eye out for what’s posted on Amazon under your own name. If you can *without purchasing the book,* post a warning at Amazon in the reviews for this crap.”

Followers of the dog trainer took to the comments to express their disappointment with the situation.

In the comments, a user who works for Amazon reached out to assist the trainer and expressed intentions to report the AI-made book for removal. The trainer then proceeded to thank the kind user for their help.

With the amount of help that the trainer got in the comments, one generous user has updated that the book was no longer seen on the online selling site meaning that the book has been removed from its listing.
