Azalea. What’s in a name?
Azalea is a brightly coloured flowering shrub that blooms in spring, with its sometimes-fragrant flowers usually lasting several weeks. Its name is the feminine version of the Greek name azaleos, which means “dry” because this shrub from the family of Rhododendron thrives in arid earth. Culturally speaking, Chinese use Azalea to great extent in contemporaneous stories by various authors. For Brazilians, Azalea is symbol to the city of Sao Paulo. For Filipinos, Azalea is home to travelers looking for the luxury of a hotel and the comforts of one’s humble abode.
